ClefWorks House Concerts Are Back!
Montgomery, AL— ClefWorks is going green. While this capital city chamber music organization certainly continues to live up to its eco-friendly status by cutting the waste of natural resources wherever it can, this time ClefWorks is celebrating the environment in a different way — recycling its original House Concert idea and taking the events outside.
An early autumn Garden Party Concert on October 10 will kick off a series of three new House Concerts. The October event will be held amid the legendary masterpiece gardens at Jim Scott’s lake house on Lake Martin.
Guests will enjoy both classical and contemporary chamber music as well as cocktails and light hors’ d oeuvres in an intimate garden setting. Plus, they’ll get the chance to see the beautiful gardens that are impressive enough to earn features in multiple magazines, most recently the August issue of Southern Living.
The event is sponsored by Capell & Howard, P.C. The gardens open at 2p.m., and the performance begins at 3:30p.m. All interested are encouraged to act quickly to secure a seat as only limited tickets are available. Tickets are $100 each. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve yours.
First thrilling Montgomery in 2007, ClefWorks brings the power of music to life by removing barriers between classically trained musicians and audience members, providing chamber music performances and educational events in unique venues with unexpected additions.
The 2011 Festival Season, coming February 26-March 1, will feature more of ClefWorks’ fresh approach to classical music. Sponsorship opportunities are now available.
